Captain Sonny Compher has been narrating cruises on the waters here for over 25 years and is both knowledgeable and passionate about the surrounding wildlife and ecosystem. The SS Pelican is an 18 passenger boat that is covered for your comfort and protection from the elements. The Island Queen is a 45 foot, 40 passenger covered boat, both vessels are used for our dolphin and nature trips. The Island Queen is available for charter for weddings, rehearsal dinners, church groups, company parties, school field trips, family reunions, birthdays, anniversaries, class reunions, theme parties, and 4th of July firework trips.
We cruise down beautiful Broad Creek and regularly see Mink, Otter, Osprey, Sea Turtles, Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Oyster Catchers, Cormorants, Brown Pelicans, numerous other birds and of course we see dolphins! If you are a Bird or Nature Lover, this is THE TRIP for you. The fun starts as you walk down our 700 ft. dock across the marsh to board, you will observe oyster beds, crabs and wading birds. Guests are welcome to bring a small cooler or beverages are available for purchase on board.
Come to Broad Creek Marina, just 3.5 miles down Marshland Road, and turn left on Simmons Road. There are NO GATE FEES and plenty of FREE parking under our 200 year old live oak trees.
